Emariete School

Emariete is a village on the outskirts of Arusha, Tanzania. The existing school is home to 650 students, however the buildings are in a state of disrepair having been neglected for years. This is an ongoing project that will require extensive renovations to both interiors and exteriors of all school buildings, as well as the teacher’s houses.

VLGF initially funded the replacement of all roofs on all school buildings. The roofs are made of corrugated metal and through the years have rusted and deteriorated. During the rainy season water infiltrates the classrooms causing many disruptions to teaching and study.
